Default GPS/Plotter

I need to replace my old GPS and would like to get a new one with a plotter. It needs to be a small unit . I was just curious if anyone had any input on whats available or using one and what you think of them? Thanks,,, Matt

Default RE: GPS/Plotter

I've had and abused a 276c Garmin plotter for three years and they keep on tickin. Never had a problem with them except batteries and you can rig a cord and power it off the boats batteries. Garmin doesn't make the 276 any more but there are many reconditioned ones on E-Bay. No external antenna is needed but a place for one is on the units. If mine fails I will get another one or one of the same sized ones that Garmon is now making. The newer ones look exactually like the 276C with many more bells and whistles plus a higher price tag..
