Default Got some time, what is open?

If anything? I see federal waters are still closed to fishing. Are state waters still closed to fishing? Are there pass closures in Pensacola pass still? Can I go out and dive if I don't spearfish? I have been out of town and out of the loop lately. Is there a site with an accurate summary of what is going on for Pensacola / Pensacola pass?

They close the pass some on incoming tides but I don't think its everyday. Your best bet is to just stick with bay fishing because you will most likely encounter oil somewhere if you exit the pass. Not sure about state water clousers in FL cause it keeps changing, but it might be catch and release only....
If it was me, I'd just work the bay

There's now oil in the bay so it's only a matter of time before they close the bay too.

You could tow down to Apalachicola then run south.

Damn, that sounds bad. I was hoping to go out the pass Saturday and catch some spanish. Who do I call to find this info out?? FWC????

Do they pressure wash EVERY boat coming back in the pass or just the ones with oil on them??

I've been gone also a lot and don't know the rules for all this stuff. I only painted my boat and would hate for them to rip the paint off it while pressure washing it.

I've heard that they only wash the VOO boats and don't mess with the rec boats. Trying to steam clean a boat, while on another boat, bobbing around in a 3 foot chop out in the gulf must be quite a chore. I imagine there is plenty of boats banging together going on out there.
