Default Free Spinning Reel

A forum member brought me a box of "junk" fishing reels. In the junk reels was a Penn Silver 105 reel.

These reels last forever and this one shows it. They are all aluminum reels with no magnetic parts anywhere. That's why it's still around.

I replaced the drag system with Carbontex drags and the plastic bushings with bearings.

I would like to give this to someone who really needs it to make it out fishing.

The picture is a stock one. Just PM me if you or your kids needs it. I will try to find a rod for it and spool the reel. It holds 200 yards of 20lb mono.

You did a great job on my 103 a while back and that thing is a killer. I had two 105s when I was a kid and caught everything on them.

Very kind offer Keith...... I bought my Dad a 104 some years back when he officially retired..... When I lost him in 2006, my mother made sure to give me the reel back and said " your Father wanted you to have this back"..... Every now and then I bring it along in the missing man trip......

I still have several 105c's & 104's & 1 of the newer 105's. They are good reels you can throw them a mile.
