Just saw on fwc twitter commissioners approved June 11 - July 12 snapper season for Florida.

FWC Commission Gulf red snapper fisheryupdate
At its February meeting inGainesville, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) setthe popular and economically important 2019 Gulf red snapper recreationalseason to open June 11 through July 12, with a possible fall reopening if quotais available.
This season will apply tothose fishing from private recreational vessels in state and federal waters andto charter vessels that do not have a federal reef fish permit and are limitedto fishing in state waters only.

For those interested inparticipating in this year’s Gulf red snapper season, don’t forget that anglersfishing from private vessels must get the GulfReef Fish Angler designation on their license. For-hire operations that donot have a federal reef fish permit and are limited to state waters only forred snapper fishing must get the StateGulf Reef Fish Charter designation on their license. Federal is same as the state. States are regulating the seasons just like last year.
