For salt water....a 6 1/2 foot 115lb (on 20lb test)black tip shark on the Okaloosa pier...no pics on the computer...landed and ate...it was good(I know the best is still to come)....

fresh water.....that is what I fish the most(being land locked in Ohio)...this one caught this spring in a local lake and my personal best while fishing for walleye on light tackle...46in 25.2 lb muskie... landed alone...I caught 3 that day with this being the biggest

I'm pretty proud of this catch even though I didn't catch it. This was my g/f's first slot red and the first fish she ever caught on a lure. It was 27" on the dot and she did everything. Caught on 10lb line right next to bridge pilings!

My personal favorite is this guy......my buddy Ken and I were out fishing for skipjack to use for shark bait the next night. We were about to leave and I insisted on just a few more casts. Last cast of the night and I hook this bad boy! I thought it was a red or monster skipjack till it jumped! He was landed on 10lb line also. He ate a jerk bait and bent the heck out of the hook. Between the bent jig and the frayed 20lb leader (frayed from catching skipjack all night), I was very lucky to land him. It broke through the landing net and fell into the boat.....it was released after a high five...ha

Tarpon was realeased and red was eaten.........

1). Big king I caught to win the Bud lite King Cobia tournament.

2.) Caught a 52lb cobia, 25lb. King and lost a tarpon all in the same day at Navarre Pier. That would have been a pretty good pier slam.

Jack, this reminded me of my first sword and the overall experience of it. It too was one of my proudest catches and no matter how many I catch in my lifetime I will always remember this one the most. Swords are by far my favorite fish. To target, fight, eat, etc....they are just awesome.

Well in first place has to be my tarpon I hooked in my kayak this year that drugged me 3 miles from the west jetty in destin to the Okaloosa pier and over a 3 hour fight. I thought the fish was around 150lbs but looking back I really think it was closer to 200lbs. But it really wasn?t a catch it broke me off after I could never get the fish to turn in towards the beach.

Second place and the mostfun was my sailfish Icaught in mykayak trolling. I thought it was a huge king at first but then it put on the air show. If you have never caught one before I suggest that you do itsso bad ass!

I caught this WHOPPER last year..... On a 5/0 circle hook and 40 pound test! What a battle that was to bring him in the boat... I only trusted Choppedliver to gaff it and help bring it in.... I was about 20 miles out from Pensacola Pass...:takephoto
