Default fish stories.... What's the best you've heard?

I just got done running a guy off from trying to fish at my work, he kept telling me he's been catching Mahi and AJs here all week. Im by the I10 bridge on Escambia bay.

So that got me thinking, what's the craziest fish story you've heard?

The best on here was the guy who jumped on a green Cobia, got the crap beat out of him, then tried to explain it to an Emergency Room.

I wish I had copied it.

Maybe somebody can find it.

Default Stories

I always enjoyed the crowd who posted blue water reports in 09 fishing small open boats when the loop had exited the gulf and we had nothing but river water for 190 miles

I work with a guy who tells me stories of all the "baby tarpon" that school up at the mouth of bayou grande.

"I can't ever seen to land one, they always throw the hook before they get to the boat! But there's hundreds of them!"

He gets real excited about it so I can't decide if I want to tell him those aren't tarpon lol. He don't fish much but he has a boat and caught some tarpon in Boca once, you know...an expert

I tried to tell him once "those aren't tarpon, they're sk..."

He cut me off "Nah, I've seen the way they jump...definitely tarpon. I just wish I could get one for a picture!"

Maybe not the BEST story...but funny.
