Default Federal Waters Fall Snapper Season?

What are the chances of a Federal Water snapper season this fall like last year? I have a hard time believing the rec quota was reached this June with the first 4-5 days of the season being 3-5 foot seas. We'd love to make another trip to AL in the fall again.

What it matter... all that matter to the government is that the commercial guys got their numbers.

I hope not. The feds will say we went over the TAC like they say we did last year and make it a 2 day season.

Probably not, I think our shortened season was a penalty for last years "overage". I would really like to see the commercial held accountable for the deaths of oversized market fish, and sent that in a letter to the outdoors writer for al.com.

There is a shortage of red snapper. So no fall season.

Does it really say the qouta was caught In The first couple of days.
That would just show how flawed the system already was.

Thanks. Was hoping for good news but assumed it would be no fall season. We'll just get ready to spend a few thousand dollars next June for a 2 day season.

I feel sorry for you rec guys down there and the charter boats.

Ha! I think y'all should be worried more about any kind of 2015 season. It's going to be ZERO!!

I hate it for all the decent people it will impact. But I'm going to look at the silver lining. Maybe it will finally run some of the sketchy, morally suspect orange beach boats out of business. Like Miss Brianna and Liquid Therapy.
