Default Fantastic Inshore Charter

Yes, Ididnt fishtoday with a prominent guide. The esteemed Capt. Wes Rozier hosted myself and 3 companions on a great spotted flying grey snapper trip. It was great. We arrived around 12 45 and Wes told us where to use our gathering devices. Some Remington... some Browning.. OK.. the jig is up... we had a great dove hunt on the last day of the season with Wes. We had birds flying most of the afternoon and all of us had birds fly over us that we missed. I discussed the concept of "dove radar" on the way home and told my fellow hunters that lazy dove hunters seldom score. I killed a few, and went 0/3 on several birds. But... I came away with 5 nice birds. There have been many shoots that I have taken my limit and gotten into my papaws limit, but as I can remember about half the hunts Ive been on have seen me taking 1 or 2 birds, and high man in the field was 6 birds or less. So... like fishing, its hit and miss. I rate my chances higher when fishing, because I can control more factors. But thats a different discussion. I just want to thank Wes for making January a greater month for me. I gotta go scale/gut/cook these flying fish.....

Thanks Wes and Warmest Regards,

Capt. Jim Stone www.aquaventurecharters.com

Dove can haul As$! They can Cruise at 50mph! I bet they can top out at 70mph! I've seen them Drop down under your visual radar, come strait at you at the end of your barrel before you see them. Very tough bird to shoot hauling AS$!
