Default Electronics care question

Have a new radio installed with a removable faceplate.
What do you put on the exposed connections to avoid corrosion?
Is there any electrical grease or something like that?

Terminal lugs and butt splices with adhesive shrink tube are better than those with out, screw terminals can be sprayed with coatings or painted with liquid tape. Liquid tape can be used to "seal" regular terminal lugs and butt splices.

I wonder if I had had coffee when I replied to this post.....

X2 on the di-electric grease not to be confused with di-electric paste for heat sinks.

In all honesty your radio will give out long before your faceplate connection. If you get a year or two out of the radio you will be doing good. I just replaced mine again this year and bought the 15.00 return policy from west marine, best thing in the world, no questions asked take it to them and get another.
