Default Electramate 612h?

Friend of mine gave me a box of reels he inherited, and there's three of these on there. They seem to have seen better days, but I have absolutely no knowledge on electric reels. Anyone used them before?Electramate 612h?-imageuploadedbytapatalk1431749292-409204-jpg

I think OceanMaster had some. I know they are heavy.

They are used for deep dropping 300 ft + . Most people will use a manual for less than 300ft. First thing, clean them up. and put power to them and see if they work.
Since they are heavy, if you can put them on a bent rod, that would help on the boat.

Controls are simple and the motors are powerful. If you lock down the drag and keep on trying to reel, you will either break the line or pole. For general info, deep droper use 3 - 5 # weights. If you need/want specific info , ask. One last thing, a new one is running about $300.

Thanks. I guess I need to hook them to a power source and see if they work and go from there. I have no need for them so I'll probably sell them if they do.
