Default Downtown with Guy Harvey

I forgot all about Guy Harvey coming into town today for the opening of his art work, but my wife told me it was today, so we loaded up and went. I got several items signed and talked to the artist. All I can say is he was very polite and seeing his art work in person is truly unbelievable.

I met him years ago somewhere and bought 5 signed prints from him. He doesn't look like he has aged a bit.

it's a small thing but seeing his signature gives me more respect for him. Most famous people just scribble but he takes time to make it look like it does on his shirts. I saw him at academy a couple years back and just missed him at his store in grand caymen.
he seems like a great guy and he makes some impressive artwork!

He thinks we should avoid red snapper because they're over fished. I would disagree.

Might be a great guy but he continues to piss on the recreational fishermen.

I kind of wonder about that too. He seems like he's kinda gone "corporate" and doesn't know where his compass points. I wonder if he's for not catching sharks too (at least around here)? Sometimes these kinds of folks get caught up in the hysteria and really don't know what's honestly happening out in the seas and not what some PhD is telling them. Good intentions but they can be misdirected when they're not out there experiencing it for themselves.

Sharks are listed as "to avoid" on his list.
