No problem! I'll be on the teleconference and will report what I hear, but I don't expect to hear much that we don't already know...

From listening in it appears to me that if he can do it, Dr. Roy is intent on splitting out the recreational snapper allocation between the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) backed federally permitted charter boats and "private" recreational fisherman as soon as he can.

Dr. Roy has the backing of EDF (deep pocket lobby) , some federally permitted charter captains, and the commercial snapper fisherman.

It appears to me only a few things stand in his way - some Congressman, the "other" federally permitted charter captains, State permitted charter captains, some of the State equivalents to the FWC, (not sure where AL or FL state reps stand) involved private recreational fisherman incuding the (RFA, FRA, CCA).

the rest of his talk was..... it could be this or it could be that and .....we will have to watch out for that....these things take time...smoke and mirrors.

Maybe it is just me and I am hearing what I want to hear, but when I listen to Dr. Roy he seems to have a different tone in his voice (a lilt) when he is speaking to federally permitted charter captains and or commercial snapper fisherman that are in favor of recreational snapper IFQ's, vice when he is speaking to one of the "rest of us" ....

In answer to your question, at least from my own jaded viewpoint, Dr. Roy's wanton pandering to the pro recreational snapper IFQ crowd at times does surprise me.

Hey Chris whats up with the new line up on the radio. I heard you this morning but just caught the end. I would like to know I enjoy your show. I also listen to Mike an Ed on 1330 and mike was out this morning and Robert Turpin took his place and had some interesting views on reef fish management. I know lineups change specially during baseball season just was curious if even you know lol.
