The lawsuit has already been settled and agreed upon. I'm 99.9 percent sure you dont need an attorney to file the paperwork for your claim, because at this point, thats basically all they are doing, filling out your paperwork and licking a stamp. Some may be a little more complicated but a lot of other people (CPA's)should be able to help you for alot less than 25percent plus expenses which seems to be the going rate.

The way I read it...There are two Class action settlements. Economic and Property Damage and another one for Medical Claims.
Economic and property damage includes 8 different categories thats are listed on the first page. You have 5 choices on what you want and there are formulas and offsets for some of it. You can request a claims packet from deepwaterhorizonsettlements.com and see what it entails. The VOO stuff is pretty basic. Some of the other stuff leans more toward a CPA than a lawyer..(all lawyers will tell you they aren't CPA's!!).
Personally, now It plain as day why the lawyers were trying to hook up everyone for the VOO stuff and are trying to file as fast as they can.
As a disclaimer...I'm not a lawyer!! To me, it just looks like the same paperwork most people filled out before, with better final results. In the end, you will sign away any future rights to anymore money....duh
I'm sure its a little more complicated than a paragraph.....but this is my take on the class action law suit for economic recovery.
What would be cool if an honest lawyer would give there opinion.....lmao!!!! right. Actually what got me thinking was the Levin show an BLAB, when Mark Proctor let it slip that an attorney is not required. Then he moved on real quick.

This is just my opinion and I could, might, may be incorrect or easily misunderstood!

Forms are available now. I started filling mine out yesterday. Break out all the P&L's again. More of the same. Guess if you are not in the tourism industry not much chance. My business isn't classified as a tourism business. Guess since I go out to Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach and clean floors in condos I am not considered in the tourism industry. But if you own a Nudist camp your in the tourism industry. More BS. but will file anyway. Can't hurt

@kelly1

All the information that you submitted before at the GCCF will be available to you when you login to the new class settlement on their website. If you have already submitted P/L you can find it in there when you login.

Hope it helps

Thanks
jacob
