Default Catching Trigger fish at night?

For those of you that night fish often. What's your take on Triggers at night? How's the bite compared to daytime? I'm interested to hear from others experience. TIA.

Skip, I can't tell you first-hand, but an old commercial guy told me years ago, when triggers were considered trash fish, that he snapper fished at night because the triggers wouldn't be active at night and be a nuisance.
Boat-Dude likes this.

Yes triggers snooze at night. You might rarely catch one sleep walking.

That's what I was looking for. I never knew that because I haven't night fished. Last night got on a spot and the Triggers were chewing on everything. After dark, not a single Trigger.
