Default Castaway Rods

Does anyone have experience with these rods? I am looking at a 7'7" spinning rod 8-17lb to put a stradic 4000 on. Academy has the Castaway SLX for $120 and the rod feels prettygood but I am not familiar with the brand.</DIV>

Alot of guy's over here in Texas use them and swear by them. Like you said they feel pretty good. I don't have any personal experience with em but they seem really nice. For the same price you could get a good St. Croix!

Great rods. They are made from Loomis blanks I believe.

Waterloo are WAY over priced in my opinion. Kind of like Laguna....

Great rods but I am mot spending $300.00 on an inshore rod.

Have had 4 of them rigged with 3 Shimano Symetre and 1 Penn 4500 for 3 yrs with no problems. Great for inshore, nice response.

Thanks everybody for the replies. I picked up the 8'er and as soon as I shake this stomach virus I am really excited about trying this rig out. This is the longest rod I have and it feels like it should cast a mile.
