You can’t hurt those things.
You could hook a chain to the transom and drag it to the launch and still go fishing.

Gee, I hope it didn’t hurt the pavement, those Cape Horn’s are hard as a rock. I had my Cape 24 get bumped off the blocks, role 75 feet down my yard into 2’ diameter Oak Tree. No significant damage. They are crazy strong.

If he wouldn’t have come off plain for that red light they would’ve never stopped him.

Wake up Call.

#1..... YOU are Responsible for the Load. That goes if your hauling Cow's, Lumber, Firewood....Boat's or whatever.

The weight of the object does NOT keep it in place. Well it does.....Only if it's Not moving.

Look at your winch strap.....Is it Sun faded? If so....It's weak... Replace it!

Those 20ft long Gray straps for smaller boats are $10 or $12.

Strap that transom down! What ever it takes.

Get a safety chain on the Bow Eye.

I saw a alum War Eagle the other day that had a welded Bow eye.....Problem was.....It didn't have a large enough opening to get a winch strap hook and a safety chain on it....
