Default Biggest Spanish?



What is the biggest spanish that you ever catch or seen caught? Here is mine 6 pounds of the pensacola pier 2 weeks ago.

We had fun that day..Krause caught one yesterday about the same size as yours but it was really fat..It weighed 5.75 lbs...BTW I see Ben, Mr. Pat, and B in the background

That IS a nice sized spanish - I've probably seen about 5 & change or close to 6. Not many over that for sure.

I will be out there first thing sat morning. Gonna try to catch some cigars and hard tail and hopefully there r some dolphin running still. Daugther has a cheer game at 5 have to get it in.

A spanish near near 6# isa VERY nice one! Congratulations on yours!!

The biggest I've seen @ the GSPPier this summer was 7 1/4# (weighed @) and maybe 2 others over 6#. My personal best this year was only 4.5#.

Better numbers of 3#- 4# than I've seen in years, so hope next year will be even better on the quality fish like those :clap

10.1 lbs, 36" caught by a customer of mine this past May out of Perdido Pass on a ballyhoo with a duster. I thought it was a king when I gaffed it and had to look at it again and again to believe it was a spanish.

I fileted it with the others and a couple days later saw in the marine calendar that the state record is just over 8lbs

I'm thinking state record is over 11 lbs. Cero get pretty big also. we have seen cero on p-bch pier years ago.
