Default Big Lagoon no combustion engines area

Hi Guys,

In Big Lagoon near the fort there is an area withbuoys that say "no combustion engines". This weekend I see a lot ofpeople going in there in power boats. What's the deal is it not enforced or arethey taking a chance on a fine? Seems to be a lot of bait fish jumping in there.

My understanding is you just aren't supposed to run the engine. I have gone in there under trolling motor, trimmed up high so it doesn't hit the grass, and have seen others do same. It may not be enforced, and wouldn't surprise me if some just ignore the markers.

I have seen people summoned out of there before if the area you are referring is the Langley/Redfish Point area

there were several boats in there over the weekend .if you look close they had the motors trimmed all the way up....most people use a push pole

Youre not missing anything.....sometimes those areas are smelly, the bottom is sometimes nasty/mucky too.....no see um paradise at dusk
