Weekdays are the time to go. Maybe take a flask for that hot chocolate...

I personally think it's an awesome place. My girlfriend and I go every year. Go during the week, as soon as it gets dark, really cool experience if you've never been.

You need to go at least one time and form your own opinion. I try to take the kids every 3 years or so. Nothing has really changed in the 10 years that I have went. Go on a cool night and it is nice. But...calaway gardens is the place to go. Callaway is awesome. I am going to look into that place in defuniak springs.

I've been drug out to that place the last 3 years... if you get tired of looking at lights, there's plenty of hot chicks walking around. Lol.

I guess I will need to see it for myself. Least then I will never wonder about it again. It has got to be better than foley outlet place. Men just do not belong there at the outlet.

I asked my wife last night if she wanted to take the kids to bellingrath this weekend. The look on her face was similar to the one I'd get if I told her I wanted to become an interior designer. "You've got to be F'n kidding me."

Yep, I still love my wife.

We went last night. Caught the 2:45 ferry to DI. Arrived at BG about 4. No crowd. Parked near the front. Second in line for tickets. Leisurely stroll back to the home with a 5 year old and an 82 year old in a wheelchair. Some of the lights were faintly visible. Loitered around the home till sundown. Bitten by no-see-ums. Leisurely walk back. The lights were spectactular on that leg. Left BG before 6 coming back to P'cola by way of Mobile and OB. The parking lot at BG seemed full when we left. 3 mile traffic jam of cars trying to get in. (Didn't seem to be any traffic trying to get in from the south) Probably 8 more miles of heavy traffic heading S toward BG all the way to I-10. Dinner at the Original Oyster House on the causeway. A terrific sax player entertained us during the wait. Peanut butter pie for dessert. Yum. A 10 hour expedition.
