Default Bayou Grande Boat Ramp

A few months ago I took a boat ride up Bayou Grande where I eventually came upon a small boat ramp. Does anyone know the name of it? And also directions on land?

Thanks

It was probably Dickson park. It is in the back of Bayou Grande off Fenceline rd.It is pretty much across the bayou from wade ave. As you are heading out Gulfbeach hwy, take a left onto Gulf Beach @ the Gulf Beach/Sorrento intersection. You will then go over a small bridge, pass the church on your left and the FD on your right. North Loop rd is on your left after that (there are ramp signs). Turn onto north loop andfollow it around the curve.then take a right onto fenceline and follow that until you see the park road on your left.(again follow signs) and you will find it. Lotta parking but steep ramp so be careful. Also, If not familiar with the area....watch outfor low tide. Cannot run fast thru there as there ARE some very shallow areas thru there.

Nice park with pavillions, dog play area, and small kiddie area, but no-one knows about it because it is hidden in the woods. Navy gave the county the area for a large kids park but the park was built elsewhere so this was built.

If you are on the Gulf Beach Hwy, the End of Weller would be worth checking out. I launch my kayak from there and paddle up. Its a long way around to get to the Dickson ramp.
