Default bad day of fishing

Went fishing yesterday and it started out good gettin alot of nice hits on the jigs and mirro lures , so we ran nearly 10 miles out of the way for some honey hole my friend knew about which didnt produce anything but alot sand nats and a good run :banghead:hoppingmadso we left there and went all the way back across the bay and by the time we got back the wind had already started blowing :banghead but we slipped up into a couple lagoons and caught some 13 inch specs and we threw back hopin to catch them some other day :angel about 7 hours of this we finally got a 16 inch spec which we keept for sure he sure was perty but we heard non stop bs from dad when we got in about how he won $ 50 sayin we wouldnt catch but 1 fish

But the plus side is i had a fun time and i got to bond with my soon to be uncles son and got to run my boat so it wasnt all that bad i guess but im going back again this weekend or next and try again

Way to stick with it! Inshore fishing is a whole different monster, keep a close eye on your water temps and Tides. Remember what they were doing when you caught fish and where you were and you'll start to develop patterns. You'll find that those patrterns will repeat themselves year after year.

Good Luck.. and go get em'

we never tried for sheepsheads the motor started acting up so i wanted to stay close to boat launch but its fertile fishin grounds all around the launch i used to fish all around it when i was 5 or 6 with my grand pa and we caught that 16 inch spec about a 600 yards from the ramp . Gotcha on the patteren thing i didnt really think you go by one but i will try it .

A bad day fishing is a better day than sitting at the office or at the house.:letsdrink

I hate to say it, but there have been at least 3 instances in which I would have rather been at work than been fishing at that time. Mostly due to overly drunken company at that time
