Default Atlantic Bumper as Tarpon bait?

How do you feel about atlantic bumpers (hornbellies) as tarpon bait? I've heard some people say they are horrible baits and others say they are "tarpon candy."

they will eat them. The key is to get them in front of them so they wont spook. They eat about anything at that point.
