Default Anyone fish with ultra light tackle?

What is your favorite setup? I am putting together something with a Stradic Ci4 1000. What's the biggest fish you have caught on the smallest setup?

I fish a lot of light and ultra light in both fresh and saltwater ! You have a great reel to start ! One of my favorite rods for speckled trout is actually a Bass Pro Microlite series 6'6" . It is listed as a med. lite for 1/8-3/8 oz. I have it loaded with 8lb. fluoro. My biggest fish was an accident -- was using it to catch small bonefish in Belize when a 18lb. barracuda grabbed a hooked up bonefish ! Luckily , the hook ended up in the only place it could be and not be bitten off which was the corner of the cuda's mouth. It was about 15 minutes of non stop fun , especially on such a lt. outfit !

My ultra lite set up. Stella 3000FB on a G Loomis SR782 IMX 6’ 6” rod
Love it.
24” Speck is the biggest fish I’ve caught on it.
Spooled with 6# P-Line
I think the P line is the best mono on a spinning reel..

20 lb red fish on a ole Mitchell 304 with 15 lb braid. I use 4K reels off shore alot but nothing major caught with them yet... I feel confident if I hook something big since they are my go to rigs fer 15-25 lb red fish!
