Post Any fish smoking places?

Are there any local restaurants or businesses that will smoke your catches for you? I don't necessarily need my fish cleaned for me, as much as I need them smoked.

If not, what is the best smoked fish to eat (in your opinion) and where do you personally like to buy it?

Don't know any place locally, but Joe the owner of hopjacks makes smoked lion fish dip and sells it and there's a local guy that makes smoked mullet dip and Joe Patties puts there name on it, call Randy at Chets and he will give you that guy's name and number. The best place is Ted Petter's in Tampa if you ever get down that way

Just go to your local BBQ joint and talk to the owner/operator. We have a couple local places that'll gladly throw it on the smoker either for a small fee or in exchange for some of the finished product.

best smoked fish is mullet, salmon, mackerel all due to fat content. fish like snapper grouper flounder etc do not smoke well cause they're too lean. I smoke mullet often but not usually until just before roe season cause they start fattening up. they are actually starting right now.

I drove by there yesterday and the gate was closed and it has a For Sale sign in front. I don't think they're still open, but I hope I'm wrong.

Anyone know where to pick up some smoked mullet? Joe Patti's wants $8 per fish, which is way more than I was expecting.
