Another NAS Shark Fishing Thread
My names Chris. I am new to Pensacola. I am here on base for the Marine Corps at my MOS school. Ive done freshwater most of my life (from Leesburg, GA). I have been to St George Island for some bay fishing and deep sea fishing twice and got hooked on sharks. Since im new to NAS I have no idea where to go on base or what to use from the shore. For my shark reel I have a Abu Garcia Ambassaduer on a Team Diawa-V 7'6" telescoping rod. I have caught several sharks at St George so im sure its good. If anyone would like to shoot me a text or give me a call id be up for a bit of schooling on where to go on base, what to use, and when to go. 229 977 2780. Thanks, Chris.
PS Wouldn't mind meeting up on base one weekend if u would want.

I don’t shark fish but I did see a guy pull in a small (app 6’) tiger shark on the beach next to Sherman’s Cove on the pass side. There’s Trout Point which is just past Sherman’s Cove heading out towards the west gate (Blue Angel Pkwy); just park at Trout Point and walk down to water and wade out waist deep and then there’s the wall by Portside. Good luck and welcome devil dog.
