Default Almost fishing trip

After about 15 months without going fishing, I got my new battery, towboat, spent about $300.00 on bait fuel and tackle.Left Pensacola ship yard about 700am, got to mouth and motor shut off. I called sea tow, but got motor cranked and limped back to landing. After inspection I found out that my last 18 in of fuel hose off of other boat which I used the death fuel , had come apart inside, all plastic liner had come apart and wadded up in hose. The rest of fuel line has only had regular run thru it.was stopped up worst than dicks hat band. Put up bait, tackle, repaired fuel line, and wait for another day.

Man I hate that feeling when something goes wrong on a fishing trip. Next time will be your trouble free day. Good luck next trip.

Glad to see you made it back OK. Just never know about those fuel problems until they happen. Hope another day comes soon for ya!

Was out in water this morning at 630, motor ran fine, got the gas from raceway at Fairfield and w that other pfc member mentioned on forum, fished hard all day, didn't catch nothing. It didnt hurt so bad because some charter boats were next to me along with some other boats. Didn't see anyone catch even a pogy, did catch a bunch of squirrel fish.#$%$#$$%%%, one of those days, Yesterday while I was broke down my 2 other friends caught some sow snappers.

Simmons, I have said before and it is kind of my motto that a day out on the water is good therapy even if you don't catch fish. Better look next time but in the mean time enjoy that nice looking Simmons boat that you have.

I think we passed you leaving the pass this morning. I was in the yellow Cape Horn named Dream Weaver . Saw a gray looking skiff with t top and the motor in a well. Cool looking boat. Glad you were able to get back out there after being off the water for so long.

I went fishing with some friends yesterday afternoon. Had a Sea Tow boat RUN us down. We were hundreds of feet from the spot, but damn..... Sea tow? We went on to another spot and caught 5 RS and one black snapper. The man that owned the boat watched as I caught the first RS (as in, I got the boat's cherry) on his boat. He hooked 5 15+ pound fish and choked on every one. So... not everyone has a good time even if fish are being caught.
