I was offshore Fri. And ran through the algie or planton bloom about ten miles offshore. I can see how someone could mistake it for oil untill you get close and get a smell and start sneezing. It usually comes around at this time of the year.

I posted a comment under that video mentioning the possibility of it just being algae blooms. I really hope its not oil

It's not oil and most likely it's plankton. Next time you run across some scoop up a little and smell it it smells fishy. It happens every year about this time.
