I heard the Florida Snapper taste better than Alabama Snapper is this true?.

Alabama is recognizing the nine mile boundary, but the government isn't. Take it for what it's worth..

I don't think I will try that.

I have caught a few snapper after a hurricane within 3 miles.

Alabama state waters are out to 3 miles. Doesn't seem like a lot to work with, but there are many man made wrecks and rigs in state water that hold good snapper close to the structure, if you have heavy enough gear to them winch them out. I got this one just outside of state water during the short Fed season.
