Default ***Lost cowling***

If u lost your cowling while boating this weekend I have it just PM me what kind of motor and horse power and ill get it back to you!

I just need to ask this...how do you find a cowling? Do they float? Was it on dry land and just abandoned? If it was mine I would be missing it right away I hope. Nice of you to post this and try to locate owner!!

It was on the bottom I was mullet fishing just happened to see in on bottom in about 8 ft of water so I decided to have a swim to make someone's day! Believe it or not I found the owner!!! But like u I am curious to hear the story myself! Lol

How you loose a cowl is by not taking that extra 2sec and shaking it hard after you have buckled it down.....To make SURE it's latched properly.

I've heard of loosing one on the road coming down US 1 where there were miles and miles of torn up road and road construction and the light trailer doing a lot of bouncing around.

Well the story is boat was stolen from harbor view marine and they ran over the rocks (do to prop being screwed)at bayou chico and I'm assuming that they took it off to check motor and did not latch it properly! Darrel found boat in bayou grande minus GPS and cowling! Most likely teenagers on a joy ride!
