Default "YELLOW CARD"

I am beginning to think it's useless, and thanks to BEEPEE, my future is in doubt.

I was out there today and the soup is almost here. Not tar balls and light sheen but thick soup and they are going to need ten times more boats and people at least. Also you may want to go where they are having their safety briefing every morning. We have them at 6,7,7:30, and 8.

Agree to the question above. Sorry to hijack the thread, but where are they and how do you get started with this program to help with the clean up?

You will have to find a company thats conducting that training, or you can go to the OSHA website and take the 40hr class. Cost is about $350.

I can't say for sure about Fl but Ms will activate you by by scheduling you to attend the "yellow card" class. To mobilize you, you need to receive the phone call with the instructions on where to report - don't be in the shower as I was..... You drop to the bottom of the list if they pass you.
BP is rotating out or deactivating quite a few rec fishermen and mobilizing more com guys due to political pressure.
They will offer the free hazwopper to those interested at the yellow card class if done the same as Ms.
Good luck.

They are starting to let some go now , It's nothing to clean up and they don't need people just standing around .
