So, this Saturday is looking to be rather calm. I have a 21ft sea hunt (and a plethora of safety gear). I am considering a run to the edge for some grouper, wahoo, BIGGER Beeliners , etc.... is there a better plan this time of year?
Inshore/nearshore: Are the sheepies biting? picking up a 4 man slot redfish limit possible?
I'd hit the edge. Don't forget to put out a couple of fly lines with live bait or cigars on them. I've caught some Black Fin Tuna that way while fishing for beeliners. (At anchor of course)
But to answer your question about inshore Brntphish I went out Tuesday afternoon to Destin pass from 3pm to 5pm. Strong incoming tide and the Sheepshead were everywhere. They would only hit a Carolina rig.... We landed 8 in 2 hours.
