A decent Mangrove snapper will be 4lbs, but they get up to 20lbs. They are most commonly caught in the panhandle in late summer and average 8-15inches. Legal size is 10inches and 5 per person a day. They are delicious.

Thanks PBTH for replying to my post, I thought it was some kind of snapper. How big do they have to be and are they good eating. Never have tried them.
