I've got a Hired Hand question for you. My house settled on its foundation and now the door frame is wracked. The door no longe sits square nor plumb. What it best way to remedy this situation?
Wish I were there fishing, instead of just wishing. lol
Mark , My son has just bought a house in Navarre and is needing someone to set post for a fence and build the gates , we are going to try to do the rest . He has bought all the materials . It is about 380 ft of fence and wants 1 , 4 ft and 1 10-12 ft gate . Is this something you would be interested in . If yes can you give me a ballpark price and how soon you are available please . Thanks Howard 850-255-3201
Thanks for taking the time yesterday to discuss my leak in depth. I kept thinking that someone at some time had told me that sharkbite fittings were made for polybutylene too so I did some searching on the net after we got off the phone.
There are fittings to transition from Poly to Pex. Here's the link to the sharkbite home page that shows them. It would see that these would enable the "patch" we discussed.
Mark, I just bought a house and have a lot to do. Would you be interested in coming out to look it over? Projects will include a kitchen remodel, refinishing floors, paint, replacement windows and doors,, sheetrock in one bedroom, 2 bathroom remodels and then we will move to the exterior of the house. I dont think I can do it alone! I need an expert to look things over, give me a few estimates and help me decide what I will do and what I can hire you for.
Mark, sorry that people treat people like that. I am surprised that your attorney said that you had little recourse. The memo line is typically intended for the maker's memo and not the payee. And I have been in this business for a while and I would have no expectations that PIF would mean anything to me. A restrictive endorsement, ie, "payment in full" would need to specify that, and the court would have to know that you understood that and accepted it on its face. If I were you, I think I would still file a small claim and make him show up in court and tell it to the judge. It will only cost you the filing fee and the cost of service of process, and the judge just might give you a judgment. You can call me if you want to talk about it. If I were there I'd do it for you. My number 417-766-3685. Miss the fishing and all the get-togethers with all you guys.
