What part of the bay do you plan to fish first? I'm thoroughly familiar with the bay east of hwy 331. There are little to no grass flats in that area. Also, I have a map of the lower river and tributaries that connect to the bay if you need a copy.

Also, Copeland's Guns and Tackle is a good source for info and bait. They are about a mile south of 20 on the west side of 331

    Hi Tyler,

I went over to Caryville yesterday to check out the catfish tournament. Got a few photos...you may recognize some of the people.
Glenn Flowers did not make it. Was told he was offshore working.
Big rain came through just before daylight and was raining most of the morning. I forgot to ask how many folks were registered.

Hi Tyler........where are you now? Just wonder if you are job hunting?

Things looking up on the river the past few weeks. Good catches of bream and bass. I don't know about cats, but plan to check out the Caryville tournament later this month.

Got a report from a guy that fished Talquin 3 days this week. Limit every day in Boy Scout longlining. Also he said this.
This is the message that was sent:

Hope your sister is Ok. Well, the good news that I see is that the males haven't even really started fanning beds. Their tails are not worn-out and most I caught didn;t even look like they have even fanned. the females have eggs but not busting. I predict a late spawn.

Hi Tyler, I'm headed over to Tallahassee Tuesday for the week and dragging the boat, maybe....to fish Talquin.. But just saw the weather report and it looks like 3 days of rain starting Tuesday. May change my mind or if I do take the boat may fish Lake Jackson. There is a ramp about 1/4 mile from my sisters house.

Can you tell me the first name of Mrs. Moore and Moore Co. Bait? Usually Lisa is there gut Mrs. Moore was there when I visited on last Thursday. Had a nice conversation with he. It's small, but this is a neat little store with stuff I like.

Hope you and the family have a Wonderful and Merry Christmas.

I have another question about long lining. What size jig do you use? I seen your video and you had a weight above jig. Also are your lines below the boat because of the weight or are they trolling behind the boat?? Thanks Danny

Hi Tyler, How are things up there in George for you and the Mrs.? Staying active here on the river and now bought into a private landing over on the Yellow River south of Harold. Going over there tomorrow and Tuesday. Plenty of fishing closer to home but I like to explore and fish new waters.

The catch down here has been steady in the bream department. I'm just getting into catfishing a little and have enjoyed a couple of meals with small channels.

Stopped at Moore Co Bait yesterday for some earthworms and believe it or not the had catalpa's for sale. Have never seen them in a bait show before. $3 per doz. Over in Tallahassee they are $8 per dozen on craigslist.

Have you been able to do much fishing? Suspect you are plenty busy with the job.

    Take care.

Hi Tyler: Went back to Victor yesterday about 1:30pm. Fished until 4:00 and did not get a bite longlineing. The fish were still in the deep water near the dam and on down the lake. Local from Geneva was fishing spider rig with several poles using minnows at 18 ft. He got there about 0900 and came in when we did about 4:00. He had a really nice mess of crappie, maybe 15 to 20 all about 11 to 12 inches. He was just barely moving around and never left a small area near the dam. Bite was real slow but at least he got decent fish and a decent number. I guess that's the way to fish Victor this time of year. The place has fish everywhere on on sonar compared to Pate that show up with a few scattered here and there. I'm going back up there late next week and fish it like the local and see if I can get something going.
