Mike, I head them and tail them, then just sprinkle a generous amount of salt over them and freeze them. Sometimes I'll vacuum bag them, but most of the time not.
Hi Joe,
Yesterday you were telling me about preparing the individual shrimp packets. I like the idea of that. Can you tell me again how you do it. I know you said you get the cheap bay shrimp, head and peel them, and then salt them and freeze them. Can you tell me how you salt them? do you freeze them in salted water?
Thanks,
Mike
I heard you were good at putting reels back together I have a small fix! Penn battle was cleaned then I forgot how to put it back together.. Could you help and what's your fee?
I finally got a box today.......will have the reels in the mail to you tomorrow. Usually there are all kinds of boxes available when you don't need them, but need one and you can't find the right size. Anyway, now have one.
Just to let you know that the Olympic 510 came in today and it was in excellent shape, even better than the one I lost (at least not as worn). It looks hardly used! Again, thank you immeasurably for letting me know it was around. I am having new steering put in my boat (hydraulic) and then I'll be out wearing the thing in! Have a great rest of the summer and good water!
That's good to know. Don't really know much about mitchells other than that I see slit of serious fisherman with them. I figure best to buy something solid an easily rebuilt than start fooling with all this new stuff out. I would really like the speed knob. I work most days in the gulf breeze. I don't know how difficult it would be to get up with you to purchase but just let me know what your asking for it. If you have time for a brief explanationon a crosswind and its advantage i would really appreciate it.
