it took about 20 min to get all the baits out after waiting an hour for a diver to get out of the water. did not want to chum the water with him as live bait! we got our first big run at 2000 when something took my boat rod and made the chemlight on the top kiss the water. thats right, it bent the entire rod with minimum drag set (barely any tension on the line) and bent it right to the ground (And i use to troll these poles with planers attatched and they barely bent. however whatever had it dropped the hook and took most of the bait. after that, the wind picked up to almoast 20 knots sustained and we did not have the weight to keep the lines on the bottem so that was the only run we had.....but what a rush knowing there was something big out there!
