Forgot to mention the new rod. Absolutely love it. It's a perfect match for the reel. Only thing now is to give it a good workout "catching". I loaded the real with 15 lb Pro braid. Works like a charm.
I went down to Black Creek with a friend on Friday. 6 crappie...5 keepers 3 bass with one keeper 2 short specks. Beautiful cloudy day but just could not get on them.
Got there late but at the Crossroads there were 4 boats drifing the river. All apparently had been there for some time. One single angler had caught 6 keeper trout but was still fishing just for fun. We saw 4 keepers landed in other boats. The bite was just about finished when we got there so we didn't get the pattern set up.
We launched at the bridge on Black Creek, co. hwy 3280. Tide was very low.
You can live anywhere! I was just talking to a guy and we were talking about a meeting. I was looking at having it in Destin, unleess most of the interest is in P'cola nad then we'll have the meeting there.
That sounds great, Ive been looking for a club to join. I think you have a good idea. I used to live in Pensacola but now Tallahassee. So does it matter if your out of town or not. I travel to Pcola a lot to fish with my bro and friends.
