Yeah same here but this year I let more bucks walk than I ever have before because of the trail camera. Knowing what you're really hunting helps out a lot on getting a nice mature buck on public land. Also hoping they are able to make it to the next season. Lol you probably know how that goes if you hunt bw. They will shoot them out from under you
Wow, I just noticed this message from a while back! Sorry I haven't got back to you. Thanks! I do have some good bass and bream flies that I've been testing in a private pond and have had good results lately. I'm trying to get a store going online, but with my regular day job, it's hard to find the time to tie and set up everything.
Sorry I missed your 3/20 PM. On watching the water livel for Bryant Bridge which river gauge should I watch? There is one listed as Baker/Blackwater. Looks like Saturday cold have been a day to hit Bryant Bridge. It was about 4.5, but down to 3 today.
I saw a report on Cowford area down to Rooks Bluff which was about last Thur or Fri, guy did really well on bass and bream.
I wen to Smokehouse on Wed of last week and didn't do all that good. A couple of keep bass, 4 big old mud fish and 3 or 4 small bream. It's picking up though.
Went over to Bryant Creek Bridge last Saturday but the water looked to be low for my boat. Wish it had been up about another foot. I think I could have handled it with my old boat but the new boat is heavier and if I got stuck it would be more difficult. Looked like a lightweight 12 ft jon with a small motor would be ideal. Water was running rather swift. Looked down stream from the landing and saw a lot of stuff jammed up.
