We have gone out and looked at the site that you plan on having the tournament. Honestly, neither me nor my husband can see a way to make it happen right now. The location is so far away from support - i.e. runners to go to the store as things run out. The only options for us is to either buy way more than we will need and suck up the loss or bow out. At This point, we are not capable up pulling it off. Just too many other things going with charters and some family issues. We wish we could help but is beyond our ability to execute that weekend. We wish you all of the luck in the world. Be safe and have fun.
I went to Cedar Log landing this morning. Ths is the first ramp below the hwy 90 ramp at Caryvlle. River so low could not launch so launched at Morrison Springs. River really but you could run boat at plain if careful. This was new territory for me. Caught a lot of small bream but kept only 8. I did find some deep water along a bank at 10 to 14 ft with good cover. Plenty of fish ganged up at about 9 to 12 ft. when I found deep structure. Got a small channel there. Didn't have right gear to tighline but will remember that area to try again with better tackle.
Hi Glenn, Thoroughly enjoyed the trip last night and hope to do it again down the road.
That 3 loop knot you tied on the hooks, can you point me to it on the net. I have see it or something similar online but can't seem to find it now. Also, those lights on your boat...brand and where they can be bought, etc.
I cleaned the flathead and got to bed about 0330 this morning. Charles is not too much a fish eater but he loves to fish.
Glenn, we may have to reschedule the Saturday trip due to a medical condition that his me yesterday. On the way home from checking a boat ramp near Westville my eyesight in right eye changed and things got out of focus and cars looked warped and the center line was crooked. I'm headed to my eye doctor in Panama City shortly. Will let you know this evening what all is at stake.
Glenn: You may have already seen this website by a cat chaser over in Texas...but it caught my eye and thought I would pass it on to you. It's a well organized website and has a lot of information, from the authors view point of course.
