i rarely buy bait, but gb usually has a good selection, so does outcast is pensacola. but for reds i dont buy bait because i use live bait i usually cant find anywhere, croaker, menhaden, blue crabs, etc.

so i use a crab trap for crabs, and a cast net for menhaden and pinfish, the croaker i catch with cut mullet or pinfish chunks

if im fishing over flats for reds theres a couple spots i tend to get alot of shrimp with a cast net and i load up on live shrimp, costs too much to buy em from somewhere lol

different things used as bait actually, a couple around that size were caught with live blue crabs, a few were caught with live menhaden around 8 inches or so. got a few in the upper 30s with hand sized pinfish or croakers. the menhaden and croaker seemed to be the main choice for dinner though lol. but on two different nights nothing was hit but the crabs so its just a finding out what they want game. theyve been thick lately, ive only taken pictures of a few every night i go out ive been catching at least 2 to 4 36"+
