I was just in Boone last month my wife loves Blowing Rock and we go up their every year. I fished al over NC but really cut my teeth between Morehead city and Wilmington. i can help you get started down here. King fishing is alot and i mean alot easier than NC so much so at times it isnt even fun. Blue water fishing is hit or miss it all depends on what the Mississippi river is doing. That river can dump alot of dirty water in a hurry. i have actually seen dead lilly pads cat tails and such off of Destin that were washed out. Bottom fisihng is excellent Snapper being the prime target grouper fishing is about the same maybe a little better in southern NC at times.
That would be great. I am originally from boone north Carolina. The army now has me stationed at Fort Bragg. I will be down the end of February. Most of my saltwater fishing has been off east coast and I am still trying to learn a lot.
