I am thinking about building a pier rod, just something very simple and can take a little damage, so I am thinking about a gator t90l. Can you send me some tips, or just some info on where to start?
Looking for a quote on a custom spinning rod. Will fish a Van Staal 200 on it, exclusively from the boat, for Cobia and some offshore fishing. Have never been a pier fisherman, so the large double footed chrome guides are generally not attractive. But do like high quality guides, with good quality tip guide. I'd like something relatively light in hand, but stiff. I fish several Star Plasma's in terms of action, generally smaller diameter rods, but strong enough to deal with larger fish. Hope to pitch a few eels at some Cobia with it this spring. What are you suggestions based on this general description of what is needed.
