Thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it. Doesn't sound too good for what we are wanting to do but we will try anyway.

    Thanks again

I'm glad you said something, it's lot H not lot E. My mistake. I have dove them a few times, they're currently marked by a white buoy. 150 yards offshore in 15 feet of water. 40 small artificial "christmas tree" style reefs. Bring in spanish, kings, flounder, sheepshead, occasional shark and king. If I were fishing near portofino, I would just go a mile down the road and expect more action there because of the reef.

Here's a link to some more info. http://www.pensacolafishingforum.com...no-reef-88037/

Otherwise, I know people shark fish nearer to the pass/fort pickens area and are pretty successful. I don't personally shore fish, this is just what I've heard/read.

Hey I posted a couple days ago about shark fishing in the gulf across from portofino. You mentioned Parking Lot E that had an artificial reef. I am interested in hearing about that.

Our plan is to rent a boat during the day to catch bait fish (cut bait, whatver we can get) then fishing the afternoon and night off the beach by kayaking our bait out. I think we have the equipment for it. Our rods have 1000 yds of powerpro plus 150yd of 80lb mono. Our leaders are 300-400 lb 6-8 ft attached to 12ft of seven strand steel plastic coated cable. We are using 20/ hooks.

I appreciate any info for good spots.

    Thanks!
