FISHING TIP # 541 SAVE YOUR ROD This is just about my favorite tip and one of my oldest. Somehow it got lost in the shuffle and wound up as FISHING TIP # 541 in e-Book #5. I hate to see sinkers banging on rods, hooks hung in guides and anything else that damages tackle for that matter. Use this tip and your rods will last a lot longer, I’ll gar-on-tee. Wrap your leader around the reel and hook your hook around the line above the sinker then pull the slack out by reeling. This locks your sinker against the rod fore grip where it can do no damage. Take a look.
