This is a buck we have had picture's of the last couple of year's and decided if the chance came up that we would take him out and age him. Well today the chance came up! He was spotted on a plot about a quarter mile away the day before so I never figured I would see him where I sat. I was just passing the afternoon while a buddy and his younger brother helped me take some doe's. After seeing a couple of 2 year old buck's(8 pnt, 4 pnt) and shooting a doe myself, a spike and yearling came out. They were milling around the doe I had shot when this buck stepped out. I wasted no time in letting the air out of him. A pretty cool rack! He only weighed 180 , but had absolutely no fat and stunk like you wouldn't believe. I'll get his horn stat's tomorrow.

you win... I always thought I had the "best" 6pt I'd ever seen. Mine scored just over 90" I bet yours gets closer to 100. Now that's some serious numbers for a 6pt! Congrats on an awesome buck.

Nice tall rack. What did he score?

I just got the call from Ron Vanderpol on the score. He taped him out at 101 & 3/8th's. That is pretty cool for a 6 pnt from around here. Thank's for all the congrats guy's! I think he will make an awesome european mount.

Yeah, Ron has a cool little bracket that hold's the skull mount off the wall at the right angle. Doesn't take up any room and you can't see it. I am still shocked that I dropped it off on Tuesday and went to get my jawbone on Friday and he had it ready. I guess it pay's to be connected! lol

[b]Splittine (2/9/2010) What did he age Ken?

Believe it or not he only look's to be a 3 1/2 year old. We are still trying to determine if a diet of protein pellet's reduce's the wear on teeth, but that is what he look's like.
