| Hey guys, I'm taking the hard top off my boat so I can eventually get a new one. I took the antenna and mount off. The wire that feeds into the antenna didn't seem to fastened inside of it so I pulled it out and disconnected it from the radio. At the other end ( the end that was in the antenna) was kinda bare looking. Question: Does that antenna wire just feed into the antenna and hang in there or is it fastened inside of it.

| So if buy a new antenna how do I put the wire inside of it. Or does it come already inside of it and I just put a connector on the end that goes to the radio.

| The wire is in the antenna from the factory and the antenna is screwed to the base, or the cable is already attached and the cable end (at the radio) is installed after routing. Depends on what type of antenna is needed. http://www.procom-dk.com/antenna/a0401-marine-antennas http://www.boatersland.com/sha4078.html
