Well, we have our first names storm for the season.  Here are some model runs.  I don't like the last image on the CMC model pictured here.  But it's just one of the LONG range models.  This is a good time to run over you hurricane checklist and supplies.

I know what you mean Jon, we have begun tracking this one and hope we dont get activated at our EOC. The one behind it may be kinda tricky too!

They all play a part.  It's never a good idea to look at one vs. another.

Bill just formed behind Ana........it will be a hurricane before it reaches the keys. Two storms back to back if going to be interesting to watch.

For the newbies to hurricanes,...NOW is the time to head to your favorite Lowe's or Home Depot and buy plywood and plylocks so you can board up when necessary. It goes FAST, FAST, FAST when the storm gets in the gulf and heads north!

http://www.mcfeelys.com/product/GBF-0155/58quot-PlyLox-Hurricane-Clips--20pack

Plylocks should match the thickness of the plywood but "might" work on smaller plywood.

If you don't have a small generator (bigger is better) they are WELL worth the investment. AGAIN, NOW is the time to invest!!!

Fill the boat and your gas cans too...

In a week you might be out of luck!!!

Jim

i ain't sceered...prepped from the get go and i'll be on the staging area at the p'cola civic center sending supplies to the distribution sites throughout the county...my wife will be well armed and ready for any looters and the two generators are ready for power outages...enough food and supplies for a month at least...God willing we don't get obliterated...

Everyone in our neck of the woods needs to be focusing to the thing right off the west coast of Florida right now.  It is organizing by the minute and we might have something to look out for in the next day or so.

Well, seeing as how even the "experts" don't know jack until it's a day or two out, I'm sure not gonna get upset about one that's many days out. It bears watching and as always be prepared but sure isn't anything to get upset about.

looks like ana is gonna fizzle out when it goes over hispaniola due to the mountains.  bill looks like it could be a good one though.
