Started at daylight.Cold,windy,outgoing tide.Fished awhite grub on a 1/4 oz gighead.Caught about 30 trout mostly keepers, had to throw back 3 over 20 inches and 4 reds about 16 inches.

Nice report , I did the same thing on the 23rd, in Escambia bay. The trick seemed to be working the lure very slow, bumping a gulp shrimp with a 1/4 ounce jig head. If you can stand the cold weather, they are thick.
