Little Lagoon--Reds-Specks-Whites-Flounder--7/5/09
Got to Little lagoon around 2:30 this morning---first dock light produced Specks-Reds-Flounder---so went the morning. Most were undersize but we managed to get all the legal fish we wanted. I fished just the lights you could see from the launch and every light had some fish on it. At approx 5:15 a very bad thunderstorm ran me off the water and into my truck. My fishing partner showed up and at 5:45 we got back on the water---went West and until 9:00 where we caught one fish after the other for the rest of the morning. My partner caught a 7 in white on a line and as he was bringing it to the boat the biggest Speck i have ever seen ate it---we got the Speck to the side of the boat where he spit the White out and swam away. All fish were caught on Gulp Products. Nice morning---few boats out early--Wind picked up--Got Hot---Home---Bath---Wife in Mississippi so i had to eat Fish Fried in Olive Oil w/ Leftover Squash-Snap Beans-Mac/Cheese--and a lot of Ice Tea. Then a long Nap Time.
A good bet on catching fish---launch very early in the morning into Little Lagoon and fish all the lights you can while its still dark---at daylight go West and fish---Fish a Gulp on bottom---use a popping motion---Fish in 4 to 9 feet water. BT66

Very good report as always! I hope to meet you the next time I'm in Bass Pro. You have any advice on fishing around Dauphin Island? I'm headed there at the end of the month.
