We ALL live very well in the United States. It is unfortunate that many try to divide us with color or religion. If you want to work and contribute to society, it really doesn't matter what race you are. You will have some measure of success. I agree that it doesn't seem fair that some races have more government aid than others but at the same time we (white people) have enjoyed success in circumstances when a person of another race may have deserved the opportunity to succeed. My only hope is that with a black President, we can begin to look past color or religion and choose the best PERSON. By the way, THAT IS A LUCKY CAT!!if that is true, why was my friend who is more qualified for the position, get denied entry to OCS?? he was told "we have to have a certain amount of minorities so you may be more qualified but youre not going to be admitted because youre the wrong color." if thats not some reverse racism that is socially accepted, i dont know what is!!! if it was the other way around Jessie Jackson would be all over CNN!!

I have never nor has anyone I know ever owned a slave. Why should I be held accountable for what happened over 70 years ago?who has held you accountable for slavery? The House of Representatives is currently discussing the issue. What about the rest of the statement? As for the slavery, thats the reason for most of the reverse racism, how the whites oppressed the blacks. I will not argue with anyone on this but if you think about it thats the first thing that is brought up. As I have said I am not racist and will not be drawn into an argument.so asking you a question about a direct quote you made is verboten? I am white United States citizen. If an apology is written and issued to the black community from the US Gov that would be indirectly assigning blame to every white person in the U.S. Plus, it's wasting tax dollars. I think most people who's posted on this thread are not raciest, but just feel we are being punished for acts we had nothing to do with. The only way converstions like this one will go away is for the minority communities to shut up and let it go away. Honestly, the only raciest people I know will not be alive much longer. I'm 35 and was not raised to be raciest nor was rasied to be not be raciest. The older I get the more frustrated I get with minorities, but it's not the individuals its the so called leadership of the minorities. And, let's face it, the only reason our black or white elected officials do anything concerning race is to win votes. Hell, we have a president based on race and the ignorance of millions of Americans (Voting for Obama does make someone ignorant, but someone not knowing why they voted for him or voting based soley on race makes them ignorant). I hate the fact an uneducated 20 year old's vote who knows nothing about government, very little about life, and makes decisions based on MTV can cancel out my vote. One thing I'm going to miss about Jay Leno is the segments when they would go out on the street and ask people easy question about our country. Those people show just how stupid some people are and they get to vote.

Black? I thought Usama was 1/2 white! weird how when someone is 1/2 something & white their still something american. Same with other races. I would rather they spend every day coming up with dumb stuff like apologizing to people who weren't slaves for something that happened over a century ago than sitting up there writing new laws and creating new taxes. But you still didn't explain how them apologizing to dead people for other dead people affects you in any way or diminishes you or why it would possibly piss you off. Brent, It does not diminish me, but it does piss me off because I'm tired of hearing about it. Come live in Blackingham, AL for a while and see if you don't get tired of it. Everything in this town is a race issue because the elected officials keep it that way. They are black and the "look out" for the black community. Then rob the hell out of them.

I'm racist. I'm proud to say it. I shame my race when I do however....
I can't stand the group who tries so hard to stand out from the rest, proclaiming they are X race. That their race is better than any other. That their race is smarter/faster/was here first.
I can't stand a race that says they hate another race because they are X race. They burn flags or crosses...have secret meetings and wear masks.
I can't stand a race who would rather live off of welfare, instead of getting a job.
Nor the races that drive piece of shit cars that go BOOM BOOM BOOM showing no respect to anyone around them, but they can barely afford a place to live.
The same races that bitch about the dent in the beer can, and want a discount because of it, but they buy the cheapest beer they can afford.
The same race that love gold teef and buy cigars by the box.....again living in "the ghetto" and scramble to pay the electric bill every month.
The problem is, I can't figure out which race doesn't do this shit, so I hate them all!
If you are a respectable, stand up guy, I could care less what race you are. I was raised by a man from Jackson Mississippi who thought every black was a nigger. No, it wasn't true then, but it's even less true now. There are WAY too many of the pathetic cretins in EVERY race on the planet.
Racism isn't about race anymore, there are too many degenerates in every race to chose just one as being the worst race. I don't disagree with racism at all, but I don't think it should be focused at anyone because of their skin color.
Oh btw...I think the "x-american" tag is bullshit too. If you want to POINT OUT the person is sub-American by hanging a tag on their race, I guess I better start going by American Indian-American. Also, liberals usually can't have a conversation about race without thinking someone is racist (spelled correct this time). Honest question, Is being a social libertarian a way to disassociate yourself with the religous portions of the republican party? I've never been real sure of what that means.

I gotcha..................well I too had received the mass email from the original topic, and in that email I do think that whomever said it originally does have some valid points and there are some areas that need to be addressed IF we live in a truly equal nation, but we don't. And "change" isn't coming anytime soon, no matter what the new president reads off of his que cards. After reading your posts, you are very affluent with your words, and you too have some valid points. But, as a fellow Christian, I would like to encourage you to maybe edit some of your posts because for some of us who carry that faith, or to the people that are learning that faith may view your posts in the light of, "is that really how a Christian acts or speaks(cussing)? Why would I want to be associated with that?" And that in not too far of a stretch, could be related to the statement you made above about "the forefathers who started the Klan claimed to be Christians.........." which you knew was wrong and doesn't pertain to following Christ. Now, I am not saying you are like the Klan, just giving and example of how by their actions, they definately weren't Christians, and would like not to see you viewed in the same light by actions on this public forum.
